Launching on Gamefound in Autumn 2025, this ambitious new title expands the beloved railway-building experience beyond the Welsh mountains to famous railways across the globe.
A TOUR OF THE WORLD’S GREAT RAILWAYS
Building on the award-winning Snowdonia formula, Snowdonia: Grand Tour invites players to construct railways in diverse and challenging environments across the world. There will be 11 scenarios included, most completely new, with the return of some old favourites. Each scenario recreates a famous route, with players managing weather, terrain, and resources as they race to complete historic lines.
From the scorching deserts of South Australia to the snow-capped Alps, Snowdonia: Grand Tour offers a new perspective on railway history, combining strategic depth with thematic storytelling. Designed for 1–5 players, it provides a compelling experience for both long-time fans and newcomers to the series.
WHAT’S NEW
Alongside Grand Tour there is also a brand-new base game, featuring the classic Mount Snowdon scenario and all-new scenario: Stockton & Darlington, which recreates the birth of modern railway construction in 1825 England. This scenario allows players to relive one of the defining moments in transport history while introducing streamlined rules for new players.
Snowdonia: Grand Tour also introduces:
- Campaign Mode – A linked series of scenarios that allows players to experience a narrative journey across different railways, with evolving challenges and rewards.
- Updated Solo Mode – A refined system for solo players, providing a smoother and more challenging experience tailored to different playstyles.
- New Map Board System – Each scenario comes with its own bespoke board, featuring original artwork and layout designed to immerse players in the unique geography and engineering challenges of that route. These scenario-specific boards also simplify setup and enhance replay ability.
